Catriona, Curator
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the museum, and we honestly couldn't manage without them. They bring so much passion, personality and warmth to the front desk, and it is clear from our reviews how much visitors appreciate this personal touch!

Iona, Front of House
I like volunteering here because I get to meet lots of people everyday. I also get to know a lot more about the local history in the area and the variety of visitors we get from all over the world. The skills I have learnt so far from volunteering here will help me in later life.

Jimmy "the Bush"
Front of House
One of the main reasons I volunteer is to pass on my knowledge and to keep history alive. There are so many stories out there just waiting to be told, and where better to hear them than in the local museum?

Triona, Crafts/Research
Volunteering is also a great way of meeting people with similar interests... Everyone is really friendly here and the work is fascinating.
