Become a Museum Volunteer!

Glencoe Folk Museum are looking for volunteers to join our wonderful team!

We are always looking for more friendly volunteers for Front of House positions during the open season. If you love the history of the local area, and love sharing your knowledge with others, then this is the position for you! It is a great chance to meet visitors from all over the world and help make their visit to Glencoe a memorable one.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to help with translations to improve access to our collections and ensure that everyone gets the most out of their visit to us. We already have information in French, Dutch and Japanese, but would love to provide more languages for our visitors. If you have foreign language skills and would be willing to spend some of your time translating information about our collections then please get in touch! The great thing about this role is that you don't have to live locally - you can volunteer with us from anywhere in the world!

Volunteering is a great way to expand your horizons, whether it be socially with meeting lots of new and different people every day, or professionally, where you can gain new skills and invaluable museum experience.

Our Volunteer Recruitment Day has passed, but we welcome new volunteers all year round! Email Catriona at curator@glencoemuseum.com, call 01855 811664 or pop into the museum to find out how you can get involved.

Alternatively, download an application form and return it to the museum.
