The Festival of Museums: War in the Glen

We had a great day for our Festival of Museums event again this year! We teamed up with Remember RAF100 to deliver a day of First World War-themed family activities commemorating the end of the Great War. Visitors planted poppies, made their own medals, crafted beautiful paper poppies and tried our original-recipe trench-cake!

Remember RAF100 is a programme led by Big Ideas which marks the centenary of the formation of the Royal Air Force. As part of 'War in the Glen', visitors decorated paper planes to contribute to ‘Name your Plane’, a nation-wide initiative remembering RAF personnel who lost their lives in the First World War.
You can read more about the project here.

Our event was supported by Big Ideas and the Remember Together project which is funded by Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and RAF100.
