New for 2011 'Highland Doctor - a local pioneer in medicine' Display of medical equipment, costume, photographs, documentation. Dr Lachlan Grant of Ballachulish is now nationally recognised for his contribution to improving medical care in the Highlands  and to the establishment of the National Health Service. As local doctor during the 1903 'Ballachulish Lockout'  Dr Grant improved the living and working lives of local working people and raised important issues for medical professionals and politicians.
